General Help for DQEdit Dx (Preview Version)
==========================

This is the general help file for the editor. You can find info on
general stuff here, such as navigating and using the editors basic
features.

Creating a new map:
===================

Creating new maps is much easier with the GUI. Just select the FILE
menu and click 'New Map'. After doing this you will see the Map window,
Minimap, and tile window popup.

Drawing the map:
================

There are 4 map drawing modes, Backgroud, Overlay, Animating, and
Foreground. To select a mode, click the appropriate icon on the
the tile selection box. Press the left mouse button to draw the tile,
and press and hold the right mouse button (while over the map window)
to copy and section of tiles, the left button will then paste the tiles
onto the map. Press 'U' at any time to Undo the last drawing sequence.

Oh and as of right now there is no way to change the Animated Background
stuff. Sorry bout that, next version ;)

Creating a NPC:
===============

To create a NPC go to the NPC edit mode. Click on the stick figure
on the lower left part on the screen to switch to NPC edit mode.

You can edit a NPC simply by clicking on the indicated icons, it's
that simple! About the walking speed, 1 is very fast, 50 is slower.

To quickly select a NPC on the map by right clicking it.
To place a NPC on the map simply click the left mouse button where
you would like the NPC to go.

Changing the Map Script:
========================

To edit the Map script, simply access MAP SCRIPT from the SCRIPTS menu
bar at the top of the screen.

This is script happens everytime a player warps into your map. It is
useful for changing the music, displaying one time events etc.

Special Script Files:
=====================

You can edit each of the games special scripts from the SCRIPTS menu.

Hot Keys:
=========

Hot keys have been disabled in this version.

Final Note:
===========

That's all you can do with the new editor so far. I'll get more done
later, hopefully you find this easier to use than the old DOS editor.
